About Me

Meet Lori CullenI graduated from Cambridge College with a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology. I graduated from Bridgewater State College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Movement Arts. I am confident that I will succeed in an Instructional Technology position at Natick High School having successfully completed six years in a rigorous collegiate curriculum in addition to the experience obtained in the work force. In additional to teaching I worked as a Development Coordinator at the Alzheimer's Association and Web Site master for Head Over Heels Gymnastics School. I have worked in several public and private school settings as well as taught and coached students ranging in grades from pre-kindergarten to high school.

My current and past employment positions have given me extensive computer experience and have made me proficient in Website Building, Microsoft Works, Outlook, Adobe Suite, Constant Contact, Blogs, Wikis and the Internet. In the past being accepted into the Adobe Education Leaders group I have been able to showcase my work and my student's work with educators from across the world. Adobe Education Leaders are educators who have used their unique abilities and expertise to promote excellence in education through the integration of Adobe solutions in the classroom, school and district.

My challenging and competitive work experiences have included a strong foundation in leadership, organizational skills, time management and computer skills. In addition, running in several marathons and volunteering in various charity events has given me the ability to display my dedication to causes beyond myself.

Hobbies

Meet Lori CullenGrowing up I was always involved in recreational and competitive sports. I had a strong passion for cheerleading, soccer and running which I participated in at a competitive level. In addition I had a craze for gymnastics, swimming, ice skating, football, softball and basketball. I started my cheerleading career with Hanson Youth Football which followed into Whitman-Hanson H.S. Cheerleading. After High School I continued to cheer at UMass Amherst and Bridgewater State College. I played soccer for Hanson Youth and many indoor and outdoor adult soccer leagues. My true passion today is running. I have completed 9 marathons (26.2 miles) which includes 5 Boston, Marine Core, Baystate, Disney and Chicago. I continue to run ½ marathons and smaller local races today. I stay committed to running today with the help of our new jogging stroller so my son can join along with me. I enjoy the many friends I have met through my different interests and hobbies especially, those connected to my love for teaching and computers in the Adobe Education Leaders group.

I refuse to let age stop my love for acitivity and movement. I find exercise to be a good stress reliever for the mind and to keep the creative juice flowing when working on many school and free lance media art projects. As technology continues to impact our daily lives I hope my students and own children will always remember the value behind exercise and activity.

Family

Meet Lori CullenI was born and raised in Hanson, MA. I have three sisters, one brother, four nephews and two nieces. I got married August 6, 2010 in Newport, RI. The day was just amazing for the both of us and for our close family and friends. Since being married we have welcomed two boys and a dog into our family. Our son Declan is five years old and Carter is one, we love them both to the moon and back! We have a two year old dog named Juno. She is a vizsla and is full of energy and love for everyone in the family. My siblings and in-laws all live local and we have a great time celebrating major life events together as well as every day fun. Our family is full of many different career paths and because of that we all learn and grow from each other. I love being around my family and friends. We are all dedicated Patriot, Red Sox and Bruins fans!

We are looking forward to watching our family grow in the future and hope that one day our children can make an impact in the world like the many students I have taught at Natick High School. Our love for traveling will continue and I hope through that passion our children will be able to learn from inside the classroom and as well as exploring the world all around them.
